Thanks to a reader, it has been pointed out to me that Daniel Alfredsson is now the longest serving captain in the NHL. He took that title over once Saku Koivu moved to Anaheim and Joe Sakic retired. Alfie is going into his 10th season wearing the C. So congratulations out to Alfie on the major accomplishment and hopefully an excellent year for the Sens. Pre-tire #11.

Longest Serving Captain
