Three & Winless

Sens dropped their 3rd game in a row, losing 2-1 to the Habs in MTL. Only being able to muster 1 goal in each game is definitely a worry, and even though it's only pre-season, 0-3 is still 0-3. Hopefully we get a win Saturday in the return matchup and score a plethora of goals to make me feel a bit better. At least we showed some more jump tonight. For the Boxscore click here

If you missed the game, here's what you need to know:

-Michalek had a nice debut, scoring 2mins into his Senator career. He seems to be a talented player and his speed his definitely an asset. I can see him being a favorite of mine

-Jared Cowen looked somewhat out of place to me. Understandable since he hadn't played a game since February. He did show some promise though, I still have high expectations.

-Pascal Lecalire didn't have much work but made a few nice saves and was good when he had to be. The one goal he let in was caused by an unlucky bounce of a dump in that hit an official and caused a breakaway, so it wasn't his fault. He looked solid to me. Love the pads.

-Spezza wore the "A" tonight and it looked nice on him. He's my leading contender to get the vacant one.

-Rookie Robin Lehner continues to impress. When you take into account he only turned 18 on July 24th, it's even that more impressive. Looks like we have a great future netminder on our hands. Thanks Antoine.

-The Hab fans continue to sing Ole and everyone else in the hockey world continues to laugh at them

Remeber, open practice at 10:30am if you want to check it out.

Another thing I noticed about this game was Alfie played just awfully. I love the guy and he will forever be my favourite Sen so this isnt a personal attack but everytime he got the puck last night he turned it over. Im sure he is just still getting warmed up.
