Wow what a crappy way to start Halloween Saturday. I hate you Ondrej Pavelec, seriously. Not much you can say when you outshoot a team 51-21 and have 2 of the games 3 stars, and lose by 2 somehow. We ran into a hot goalie and sometimes that will happen. But part of me can't help but think we would have put a few past him with Spezza playing. I'm not gonna dwell much on the game, even though it is our 2nd in a row to teams we should beat.Some thoughts on the game:
-I thought Cheechoo finally had a decent game. He worked hard, had some chances and played smart. Now he just needs to score a few.
-Pascal Leclaire is very unlucky. That must have been the 5th or 6th goal already this year that banked in off a skate or something weird, poor guy.
-Why must everyone go insane when any semi attractive girl is on the screen? Please don't make them dilluisional and think they're hotter then they are. Today was even worse with Halloween and skanky costumes. Ah yes hockey games, where a girl who's a 7 becomes a 12.
-I still don't like Picard, sorry. Even though it was his 150th career NHL game so congratulation I guess.
-Brian Lee started well and then struggled. Nick Foligno has been meh this year and I'm a fan, still Happy 22nd birthday kid.
-I can't decide if I like afternoon games or not. On one hand I have to get up earlier after a Friday night of boozing, on the other hand, I get to see a game and be home by dinner, allowing my night to go on unfettered.

I think that cycle game is the Sens best bet right now since they do not actually have that much speed; however I would like to see someone try to make a move and cut in front once in a while. You would also think that we would get a few more lucky bounces with 50 shots. Also, though the Sens got to the net well looking for rebounds but they did not seem to have very many screens on point shots.

i thought that game, from the sens perspective, was an insult to dog shit. kovalev is an embarassment, as is b murray's defence. all dog shit - lee should be dealt for some used pucks asap.

To Anonymous' comment re: trade Lee for a bag of pucks - you can't be serious. The guy is 22 years old and is just starting his sophomore year in the big leagues. He showed tremendous potential last season, putting up decent offensive numbers and was only a -2 on a team with one of the worst GF/GA ratio. He was playing in his 2nd game of the season; give me (Lee?) a break. Can someone tell me what fan says trade away a #9 overall pick and top prospect when he has yet to reach his potential as a full time NHL defenceman? Hell, let's trade Foligno, Campoli, Picard, Karlsson, Winchester, Smith and St. Pierre too, because they're all young and full of potential for the future.
