At Last: GDP v NYR Game #1

FINALLY! The day has come for the season opener. It's been 5 months since our last game and seems double that time doesn't it? The Sens begin their 2009-10 campaign at the world's most famous arena, looking to get off to a good start.

The Rangers are coming off a loss last night to the Pens but should be motivated for their home opener at MSG. They were a playoff team last year and are a good test for us for game #1.

For the Sens, there are many new faces and it remains to see how long it will take for everyone to gel. We definitely have a newfound depth we haven't had in quite awhile which will be nice to watch, even if we do have a 5.5 million dollar 4th line.

Not much else to say other then let's drop the puck already. We've waited and waited and now the time is finally here, let's enjoy it.

Picard and Donovan are the healthy scracthes tonight, which means all 3 newbies will be playing. Let's see what the kids have got.

I'm predicting a Sens 4-2 win, with Kovalev getting his first goal as a Sen. What do you guys think?
