GDP #6: Sens V Tampa Bay

Wait are we sure Tampa Bay has enough money to fly here to make it to the game? I keeed I keeed but seriously that ownership situation is a mess that stands out in the NHL, which is saying a lot.

So on to the game tonight, as the Sens take on their expansion cousins, the Tampa Bay Lightning. Tampa will be fun to watch if nothing else. The team is currently 2-1-2 and has a bunch of entertaining guys. Of course there is Vinny Lecavalier (is he in montreal yet?), Martin St Louis (who btw I met last year in Tampa and trust me when I say he is small. I'm 5'11 and i TOWERED over him), young star Steven Stamkos, Ryan Malone, 2009 2nd overall pick Victor Hedman (how did he not get a penalty for fighting in that gold medal game?), Alex Tanguay (who settled for Chris Neil money), former Sen Anrej Meszaros (can we give you Picard back?), Mattias Ohlund (we could have used him) and local kid Kurtis Foster from good ol' Carp. So you can see it's an interesting mix and they shouldn't be taken lightly.

For the Sens, the lineup will be the same as Monday night's loss to the Pens, with Pascal Leclaire getting the start again. Regin and Winchester aren't ready to be back yet and will sit this one out, but may be in the squad for Saturday's big game in MTL. The lines for tonight will be:

On defence, still no Filip Kuba but he will skate tomorrow and be in the lineup next Thursday against Nashville apparently says Triple C. In other defenceman news, it seems Murray is in no hurry to get rid of Karlsson, despite his unspectacular play, so maybe the kid will be here for awhile. Makes sense, good babysitting help is so hard to find.

This should be an entertaining game, I could see a lot of end to end action and a gaggle of goals. Prediction is Sens win 6-3.
