Back To Back To Back To Back

The Sens wrapped their 5 game homestand tonight, with a thrilling 4-3 come from behind overtime win, scored by who else, Mr. Overtime himself, Mike Fisher. The Sens had scored the first goal, before surrendering 3 straight and it didn't look good. But they managed to score 2 in the 3rd to tie it up and won it in OT, sending the sbp faithful home happy.

Once again, the goals largely came from unexpected sources, with Neil, Regin and Picard all lighting the lamp tonight. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Eventually we need to get our top line going, but for now I will take the glass half full route and say we have scoring depth.

In an unrelated note, is anyone more unlucky then Pascal Leclaire? He has apparently broken his jaw as a puck hit him in the face while he was relaxing as a backup tonight, as he was already minorly injured. No word on how long he might be out yet. Unbelievable!

So we've now won 4 in a row and are in sole possession of the Northeast division. How does it feel Sens fans? Thoughts on tonights game?

I like how the Sens have been able to turn things around in game. Fisher for team Canada. He is clutch and can turn games around by scoring or by throwing big hits.

I think when Kovie comes back Cheechoo should sit. Maybe, he works hard but considering how Regin and Shannon played tonight, and Cheechoo being our worst +/- player at -6, and his taking bad penalties, he should sit.

They will eventually need Spezza and Alfie to start playing better, especially on the long road trip.

I guess I can put up with Picard's defensive ineptness as long as he continues to produce offensively. Maybe he is our new Joe Corvo.

Chris Phillips continues to be outstanding. I think when he is on his game he is among the best shutdown D-men in the league. He really uses his skating well to gain good body position on attackers.
