Pictured above is the Tampa Bay Spirit Team. I don't really know why, but it made me laugh beyond belief. What a bunch of lookers and characters in that bunch. With that said, the Sens are back on the ice after another multi day layoff. We are taking on the Tampa Bay Lightining for the third time in as many weeks, and then don't pplay them til late in the season. Brilliant schedule planning NHL. You win again. So the Sens are seeking to avenge a brutal loss to Tampa last Thrusday, a game in which we were just embrassed in my opinion. If we want to make the playoffs, we have to win these type of games, especially at SBP after a 4 day layoff.
Some good news on the injury front, as Jason Spezza is expected to play tonight, while Anton Volchenkov remains a week away or so. The lines have been switched up for tonight's affair, leaving us with a spectacular first line. The lines for tonight are:
Michalek-Spezza-Alfredsson
Kovalev-Fisher-Shannon
Foligno-Regin-Neil
Ruutu-Kelly-Cheechoo
Yes that's right, our 4th line makes 6.5 million dollars, ouch!
Shean Donovan and Jesse Winchester, who was just called back up, will be health scratches for tonight's game.
Pascal Leclaire starts in net. Hopefully he will be able to avoid a game without a fluky goal, fingers crossed.
The game is at 7:30pm and is on TSN2, which I know means many of you won't get to see it. There's always a bar or the trusty old radio, the team 1200.
Prediction: Given that the Sens played poorly their last 2 games, have Spezza back, need to win this and want revenge for last week, I see them winnin 4-2. Jason Spezza gets his first goal of the saeason in the win.
What do you think, let's hear your thought's on tonight's matchup
