Kovalev Heads To Russia

It's with a heavy heart that I report that Alexei Kovalev has returned to Russia today to attend the funeral of his wife's mother. He is expected to miss the next few games. It's a shame too, as Kovie had been on a bit of a hot streak, but of course this is much more important then a hockey game. The thoughts and prayers of Sens Army and Sens Town are with you Kovie. Have a safe flight, you have our deepest sympathies for you and your family.

-The Mayor

Update @4pm- Kovalev WILL play tonight and then head to Russia tomorrow as per TSN

I got excited for a second when I thought that this was going to be about Kovalev bolting for the KHL. It is too bad about his mother in law though.

Wow, terrible Pens announcers. They have no impartiality, I mean you would think they hadn't noticed when the Sens put the puck in the net. Also, they must be blind if they think Donovan tried to get out of the way of Cooke. It was a suicide pass and Donovan did not change his path at all after he received the pass. Also, why was Kovalev in the lineup?
