Man what a hit! And the definition of a clean one too. Anyone complaining about this doesn't know hockey, you know like the Tampa Bay Announcers who don't have a clue, which is why they're working in Tampa. "You don't see him run around like that on the road". What a bunch of BS. Morons! Boo Hoo, your prized, severely overrated rookie got layed out, deal with it.
PS- The extra penalty to Downie was for instigating, which he definitely deserved. That's what happens when you jump a player after said player makes a completely legal play. Was it your first ever hockey game and you don't know the rules? And by the way while we're at it, you're lucky Downie is still in the league after all his cheap shots. If anyone isn't going to get the benefit of the doubt it's him. So stop defending a cheap shot artist and stop condemning a perfectly clean hit. You may now go back to obscurity and your tens of viewers.

I agree full heartedly. It was definitely a clean hit and to hear the announcers complain that the call wasn't made in the toronto game when stajan skated clear across the ice to fight a lightning player and didn't get called. All that means is that it should ahve been called a toronto instigater penalty and that the refs aren't doing their job properly.
Clearly this year the refs are a loss. I have seen more uncalled and poorly called penalties or dead calls then anything else. (Third period goal by Kuba) Someone needs to remind Kerry Fraser that the opposition needs to be in control of the puck not just touch it as so called in the game.
