Redden Boo'd

Following in the footsteps of Joe Corvo and Zdeno Chara, the fans got some booing in yesterday on former Sen Wade Redden. Now some of you may wonder why they were doing so, after all, when he was here, he was a fan favorite (but not from me ever). I always disliked him. I thought he was too soft, didn't like him game. He lacked the killer instinct.

The fact is, we picked him over Chara, which many people didn't like. Then as soon as he got that big pay day, his play went downhill crazy fast. People couldn't take his awful passes and lack of heart anymore. The whole team was struggling and we tried to trade Redden twice but he refused to waive his NTC. We ended up getting nothing for him and many fans saw this as selfish, and that is why Redden is boo'd.

Was the booing deserved or unfair in your opinion?

Agree, just because he was here a long time does not mean should not get boo'd. He let us down at the times we needed him the most.

If any of you saw the piece, I think on CBC, with Colin Campbell showing the hits he showed at the GMs meeting, basically the (maybe it was 7) hardest hits so far this season, it was great how 3 of them were delivered by Sens and how the GMs said that the Neil hit was the kind of hitting they wanted in the game.

I mean who cares if people boo him, it's not like he wasnt paid handsomely his time here, people dont actually hate him, just their way to express they were unhappy with him at the end.

Redden Sucks

Booing Redden makes little sense. The team made the choice and he cashed in at the end of the contract. Boo Avery. he deserves it.

Wade is being booed because his team is doing well & ours is not so much. I hate the booing -- it tells the booed players that their skill is revered -- in Redden's case, his being booed really has a reverse message effect don't 'cha think?
