Obviously you can't count on that type of performance every game from those guys, but even still, the Sens took it to the Pens tonight, playing hard and tough, silencing Crosby and Malkin. Pascal Leclaire had a nice game, making the saves when he needed to, to rack up the win.
It really was a team effort tonight, so let's just sit back and enjoy back to back wins. Everyone played pretty well tonight, absolutely no one to single out for a bad performance. I didn't even notice Picard tonight, which is a huge compliment. It was unfortunate to see Donovan leave the game after a knee on knee hit from Matt Cooke, who somehow avoided a penalty on the play.
It was great to get our first win over a legit team this season finally. We have another test Saturday against division rival Buffalo, so let's hope the consistent play continues. Troubling however was the attendance. After only getting 17,406 for Tuesdays Battle Of Ontario, the Sens and Pens game only drew 17,039 tonight, which is almost 3000 short of capacity. By the way, was it just me or was there definitely some sketchy refereeing going on? Either way, enjoy your free slice Sens Army.

Good game, should build confidence for the Sens and allow them to pick their game up; however, in recent years the Sens would stop working after a game like this. Also, despite what those "broadcasters" from Pit said, Donovan did not change his path and Cooke just straight kneed him. Lets put some of the blame for that one on Picard as well for putting Donovan in that position.
