Special shoutout's go out to two Sens rookies today. Shoutout to Mike Brodeur, who played very well in his 1st NHL game to earn his 1st NHL career victory. Next up is Erik Karlsson, who scored his 1st NHL goal in the win. Congratulations to both of you on the milestones and amazing life moments. Thoughts?

Meant to write this here, but wrote it further down. My bad.
The way Karlsson has been playing, he is a definite rookie of the year candidate in my mind. Sure, he makes a few mistakes, but he can eclipse Hedman if he keeps up this pace.
Karlsson: 21gp, 1g, 5a, 10 PIM
Hedman: 33gp, 2g, 8a, 34 PIM
So with a third less games, he's got almost as many points (6pts vs 10). That isn't even counting the 11 points he got in the AHL.
Thoughts?
Congrats Eric & Mike. It's the beginning of a couple of solid, long and memorable careers.
