The Sens fell to the Devils for the third time this year, in another snoozefest, which is classic New Jersey hockey. Martin Brodeur broke the all time games played by a goalie mark at 1030, but failed to get the shutout record, thank god. The Sens didn't play great, they didn't play poorly, they just didn't have it tonight. Back at it tomorrow against Minne.Thoughts from the game:
-Were there even 5000 fans there?
-Brodeur deserves to be #1 at the Olympics
-Good to see Deano getting another shot in the NHL with Jersey
-Erik Karlsson continues to drive me insane. Can he go the whole season without a goal? His supposed silver lining.
-Why do we always let a goal in within a minute of us scoring?
-Amazing goal from Ruutu, nice pass from Kelly as well
I hate playing the Devils. They are so frustrating. At least we have a chance at redemption tomorrow night. Thoughts?

Karlsson is making more and more good plays with the puck. However, he is just not strong enough to do things like lift someones stick. I don't think he is a bust yet but everyone that thinks he is good right now is insane.
Something has to be done about our powerplay, it is not working so change it up.
Kelly has been playing better lately and even showing signs of hands.
Was that Kovalev who let the shot go right through his legs, intentionally avoiding it, on New Jersey's 2nd goal?
Man if you think new Jersey hockey is boring then get your pajamas on because Ottawa will be playing a lot of it.
Karlsson has been pretty solid in the last couple. No one expects him to dominate right away. If people were to actually watch him instead of mindlessly complaining they would notice the guy is getting better.
Good point on the letting in a goal after the other team has scored. In my opinion the goalie has to subdue the inevitable push after a goal is scored. This is my biggest criticism of Elliott, while he has played pretty good he needs to show he can dictate the momentum of a game.
