The Sens play their last game before Christmas tonight, as they take on the Stanley Cup holders at the Igloo. It was widely reported yesterday that Leclaire and Neil would be returning to the lineup after missing significant time, but now late breaking word this afternoon is that Shean Donovan will also be playing. I have to say I'm pretty excited about all of this, finally some physical presence that should help us score some more goals. Pascal Lecalire starts in net.A few changes to the lines, they will look as follows for tonight:
Michalek-Regin-Alfredsson
Kovalev-Fisher-Cheechoo
Ruutu-Kelly-Neil
Donovan-Winchester-Shannon
Interesting line combos. I thought Winchester had done a good job centering the top line but I guess triple C thought differently. Good to see Regin get a chance though, I think he has some potential and he has been playing hard lately.
Prediction: The Sens are not good on the road and we have a lot of rusty players returning tonight, but I have a good feeling about this one. Sens win 4-3 and Alfredsson scores a pair, ending his career long 12 game goaless streak.
