GDP #39: Sens V Montreal

The Sens are back at it ce soir, as we take on the divisional rival Montreal Canadiens, in a crucial 4 point swing game. The Habs are only one point back of us entering tonight and this would be a big win for us. The Habs have won 3 in a row and the Sens are coming off the satisfying shootout win over Buffalo on Saturday. Unlucky for us, we have to face another hot goaltender in Jaroslav Halak tonight. Pascal Leclaire will be in goal for his 3rd stright game. No changes to the lineup from Saturday. Erik Karlsson is a healthy scratch again.

Prediction: I'm not gonna lie, I'm very worried about this one. Missing Spezza and Alfie is not a good look, plus Foligno is out as well. We already have trouble scoring goals, so where are the goals going to come from tonight? Maybe from Fisher, hoping to make a last minute effort to convince Stevie Y? Perhaps Kovalev will be motivated to show his former team what they're missing? Will Halak stand on his head again? In the end, I can see us narrowly winning or getting blown out. It pains me to say but Habs win 4-1. Hopefully the Sens prove me wrong.

Thoughts?

If the guys play as a team like they did against the Sabres. They always have a chance to win.

You are a little pessimistic today Mayor. Kovie will play well tonight. I think Regin and Fisher will have good games. With a good defensive team game I think we can pull this one out.
