Happy 1st Anniversary To Us

In case you didn't know, Sens Town turned 1 year old on Dec 5th and I just wanted to thank everyone who made it possible. Shoutouts go out to the Sens and the organization for being so crazy over the last year, to Dany Heatley for giving me so much to write about in the offseason, to Puck Daddy at Yahoo for showing me so much love, to Peter at Silver Seven for always supporting, to all the other blogs that have shown me love and sent me emails with praise and linked my blog on their sites, I appreciate it all.

To Stuntman Stu and Kimberly, the in game announcer and Michael Sharp, the baby Sens beat writer and the retro jersey creator Jacob Berratte, for doing interviews with me when they didn't have to. To Mark Cuban, for giving me some of his time in an awesome interview, to be posted soon. To CiCi for always supporting me, thank you so much. To all the hardcore Carrie Underwood fans who bombard me with emails and comments anytime I mention her, thanks. You guys sure keep it interesting and I respect your passion.

Last but definitely not least, a massive thank you to all the loyal readers who come back day after day to read my thoughts and ideas. I'm still shocked that anyone cares about lil old me and what I have to say. Without you guys, I wouldn't be anything and I appreciate the daily comments and emails you send. It keeps me motivated and challenges me to find different content that other sites don't cover. I always try to be original and offer a different vantage point compared to more traditional media and blogs. I've even notice a few places have coincidentally taken and used some of my language and features lately, no hate, I take it as a compliment. It means they like what you're doing.

It's been a great first year. When I started I was getting 5 or 10 people a week, and frankly, I don't even know how they found my site. I never promoted it but thanks to the readers and other people who believed in the site, it has grown tremendously. Every month the readership is growing and now regularly gets a thousand or more people a day checking out what I have to say. I've even had 5 or 6000 a few times, unbelievable!

All of this is thanks to you loyal readers and you spreading the word to your friends and family and fellow Sens fans. Nothing I cay say could possibly express how grateful I am for all of it. It has definitely been an amazing feeling to see how much many of you enjoy it. I especially love when I get emails from soldiers or students who happen to be living on the other side of the world, who email me to tell me that they count on me for their Sens news and reading my site makes them feel a little less homesick. I never planned on anything like that but I'm glad I could help.

So once again, thanks to everyone who had anything to do with the success of the site this past year. I couldn't have done it without you and your emails and feedback definitely keep me motivated, so keep them coming. Hopefully my 2nd year will be even more fun and we will grow to be bigger and better together. Thanks again, Go SENS Go!

Mayor, I found your site by just googling the Ottawa Senators and up you came. I salute you for your extensive coverage. I really like your links; it's like one stop shopping for all things Sens.

Keep up the good work and I hope your readership continues to grow.

Wow, now that is a nice hat! Why can't we go back to the old days with the original logo? I refuse to buy any merchandise with that ridiculous new logo.
