Sens Run Wild On Minnesota

Is it bad to admit I like the way we play a hell of a lot more without our "star" number 1 centre? The Sens played another dominant game, imporving their solid home record. Once again it was a total team effort. Special shoutout to Erik Karlsson who I usually kill on here. The kid got his first goal of his career finally and I ran into him out celebrating with some of the boys. Hopefully this is the first of many for EK.

Thoughts from the game:

-Mike Brodeur was more then solid. He looked like a seasoned pro.

-Nice to see A-Train pot another goal

-Havlat looks weird as #14, he's always #9 to me

-Great to see my man crush get a goal again, nice job Milan

-Props to Karlsson for scoring his 1st goal. I only kill him cuz I had big expectations. I hope he succeeds.

-What's a Wild? They have ugly main uni's. Their home are nice though.

-16k on a Saturday night is disappointing

Once again, I was very impressed and happy with the team effort tonight, as you can tell since I'm posting at 3:15am. The celebrations went long. Back at it on Monday against the pesky Bruins. I'm going to bed thrilled with our team and the way our work ethic is shining through. Are we a better TEAM without Jason? Spezza for Kovalchuk anyone?

Thoughts on the game?

Who were all the teammates you saw and where outa curiosity?

Great, but expected win tonight, I liked what I saw from Brodeur, he could probably fit right in as backup if Elliot were to be traded for something.

If I was the GM I would be trying to get rid of Spezza. I think he has a no movement clause now though, so he (and his wife) would need to be willing to move.

The way Karlsson has been playing, he is a definite rookie of the year candidate in my mind. Sure, he makes a few mistakes, but he can eclipse Hedman if he keeps up this pace.

Karlsson: 21gp, 1g, 5a, 10 PIM
Hedman: 33gp, 2g, 8a, 34 PIM

So with a third less games, he's got almost as many points (6pts vs 10). That isn't even counting the 11 points he got in the AHL.

Thoughts?
