Olympic Hockey Wrap Up: Day I

Day one of Olympic hockey is in the books and what a pleasure it is to watch, and that's with none of the games even being good yet. Contenders, Russia, Canada and the United States were all in action, and all won.

Thoughts from Day 1:

-I wish this happened more then once every 4 years, it's so fun to watch

-Great atmosphere. Country vs Country is always awesome

-I wish they were playing on international ice

-I have very mixed feelings trying to cheer for Dany Heatley

-Norway had sweet old style uni's

-It's weird trying to get used to all the different numbers the players are wearing compared to their NHL ones.

-Why is Radulov allowed to wear bright green gloves when their uni is bright red?

-Getzlaf is my favorite Canadian player for those of you who have been asking, then Nash.

-Still not a fan of our new jerseys, i hate that the IOC made us switch our logo

-Only on Team Canada would Iginla and Toews start off the game on the 4th line. Nice hatty Jarome

All in all it was a good first day and I got to watch 3 games. Up tomorrow is more action and it will feature more of our Sens players. I was pretty close in my predictions and I am now 3-0 for the tourney. Don't worry, it won't last long I'm sure.

Thoughts on day one?
