Sens Re-Up Shannon

Not the signing everyone was hoping for exactly, but Ryan Shannon has been resigned to a one year contract worth 675k, which is a 75k raise from this year. I can't really complain about signing him to such a reasonable contract for what he brings to the table. Good depth signing by BM.

Does this mean perhaps someone else is now expendable? I would think perhaps yes.

Trade deadline is Wednesday march 3rd at 3pm eastern.

Thoughts on re-signing Shannon?

Here are my thoughts.

Please, do me a favour as a longtime reader, STOP saying "thoughts" at the end of all your posts.

I really enjoy the blog, but that needs to end.

Good signing based on the price, he brings speed to a relatively slow team.

Slow team? compared to team USA maybe. Cullen, Mich, Dono, Shannon, Fish, Even Alphie and Spezz are not slow. Hmmm...

Mayor,

So TSN is wrong and Bruce Garrioch are wrong about the 625K contract but you are right.

I think you are the one who is full of shit. Get your facts straight jackass!

i think thoughts is a given, discussion will likely happen on its own.

Sorry, the Sens are not slow, they have average speed. Shannon and Mickalek are the only one's with outstanding speed, Alfie has slowed down, and Spezza only has Speed in a straight line.

Also, besides Karlsson and Phillips they lack speed on D.

No offence but if you look at nhlnumbers.com. They have Shannon new extention at $625,000.
