What took them so long? I assume they were holding out a last ditch effort that someone may want to take him off their hands in a trade to dump salary, but alas it did not happen. Jonathan Cheechoo was put on waivers today, the first step in him being bought out. If he goes unclaimed, which he will, the Sens will then buy him out or keep him in the minors to keep his salary off the cap. Either way you won't see him in a Sens uni again thank god.Thoughts?

They were trying to move him at the draft (LA was apparently interested in taking him + a draft pick). It didn't happen and here we are today.
