Sens Sign Tough Guy Lessard

According RDS, the Sens have signed perennial tough guy, Francis Lessard to a contract. Lessard hasn't played in the NHL since 2005-06, when he played with the Atlanta Thrashers for 6 games and has a grand total of 91 career NHL games. Not too amazing for a 31 year old, but his real talent is fighting. Look for him to replace Jeremy Yablonski, as they Baby Sens tough guy. One look at his impressive PIM numbers, suggest he is definitely qualified to do so, plus he looks like Brock Lesnar. Enjoy some of his previous fights on a long weekend Sunday afternoon.

First up is a tilt against resident pain in our ass Andrew Peters from Buffalo. It's a decent bout. Somehow Peters still has no team to play for as a UFA this summer, shockhing I know.

Next up, Lessard takes on annoying HNIC guy PJ Stock and beats the hell out of him. I have to admit, I love seeing him getting whooped.

And no video montage would be complete without a Lessard fight against the man he will be replacing in Bingo, Jeremy Yablonski.

Of course, if this doesn't satisfy your blood lust, feel free to go youtubing and you can find plenty more Lessard fights.

Thoughts on the signing?
