GDP #4: Sens V Carolina

The Sens return home to SBP tonight, for their 2nd home game of the young season, looking for their first win against the 2-0 Carolina Hurricanes, puck drop is 7pm on TSN.

The Sens struggled through their first 2 games, but showed a lot more effort and skill in the OT lost to the Caps on Monday, here's hoping we can build on that. We're taking on Carolina, who will be tired from playing their first 2 games in Finland, both wins against Minnesota. Cam Ward is expected to start in net for the Canes.

The lines for tonight will be the same as Monday:
  • Michalek-Spezza-Alfredsson
  • Foligno-Fisher-Winchester
  • Ruutu-Kelly-Neil
  • Kovalev-Regin-Shannon

With that lineup, there isn't really a 4th line, but a bnunch of 2nd lines that can hopefully wear down their opponent. On defence, it remains the same, though struggling soph Erik Karlsson is on the bottom pairing with Brian Lee tonight. Pascal Leclaire is expect to start for the Sens.

Prediction: Sens need a win badly and have shown a much better effort lately, but Carolina historically always gives us trouble. They've travelled a lot of miles and must be jet lagged to some extent, which makes them a nice opponent tonight. Sens win 4-2 fo rthe first W of the season. Don't forget to boo Joe Corvo all night either Sens fans.

I forgot who Joe Corvo was. Why the hell did you remind me?

He should get no attention. He was never here.
