The Senators hit the ice tonight at SBP, for a 7:30pm tilt against the New York Islanders. With a win tonight, the Sens can hit the .500 mark for the first time this season, and are also looking for back to back wins for the 2nd time. The game is on TSN. As a bonus, if you're going to the game, the Binghamton Senators will be on hand, greeting the fans at gates 1 and 2 as they enter SBP tonight, so be sure to check that out if you're hitting up the game tonight.
For the Sens, we were hoping that Filip Kuba would possibly be playing tonight, but in true Kuba fashion, it's 50/50 at best he will even play on Saturday, so we are without him yet again. Mike Fisher didn't skate this morning, but will play tonight, though we wills till be without Milan Michalek for a few more games it seems. While Pascal Leclaire is healthy enough to play, Brian Elliott will start again, and deservedly so after his play in Toronto in my opinion.
For the Isles, they will be starting Dwayne Roloson in net tonight, who is a pretty decent goalie, though he doesn't get the attention of some others. Of course a key will be trying to keep Johnny T off the scoreboard, as well as Matt Moulson, who emerged as a decent scorer last season for Long Island.
Prediction: The Sens have a lot to gain in this game, getting to .500, climbing into a possible playoff position and they are at home, plus the Isles played last night, and had to travel all the way from Raleigh, North Carolina, so they will be tired. Let's hope Foligno and Regin decide to break their zero goals streak this year. Sens beat a tired Islanders team 5-2.
