Sens In Giving Mood

For the second straight game, the Sens choked away a lead, this time a 2-0 advantage, beforing finally losing 3-2 to the Washington Capitals, who were winless in EIGHT coming into tonight. About the only good thing about the loss is that the Sens should now figure heavily into the next episode of 24/7. Call it a small consolation prize, very small.

We jumped out to a flying start, up 2-0 after the first period on hard working goals by Ryan Shannon and Chris Kelly, and it looked like another frustrating night for the Capitals, before a 90 second brain fart at the start of the 2nd had us tied at 2's before many were back to their seats.

It's game like these that make me almost positive there will be no post season in Ottawa this year. I don;t know what's going on, but Elliott is awful. He has no let in 9 mediocore goals in a row and hasn't got the hook. We do not have the offense that can hide his poor play and I'm getting very tired of it.

So I will just take tonight with a grain of salt. We are what we are, a mediocore team that will generally not play well and will struggle with discipline problems. Anyone have a draft preview?

Thoughts on the game?
