The Sens are right back it tonight, as they take on their expansion cousins, the Tampa Bay Lightning at SBP, looking to build off a decent peformance in Chicago last night. It was a performance that earned them a much needed point, which may not seem like much, but at this point I will take it.
Since it's a back to back, some had speculated that Robin Lehner might get the start tonight, but that won't be the case, with Elliott getting the nod again. Other than that, no lineup changes from last night. That seems to be a good call, as we played fairly decently in the windy city.
For the Lightning, you have to watch out for their bevy of talented forward, such as Stamkos, St Louis, Lecavalier, Ryan Malone and don't forget Simon Gagne. The Sens need to make sure we play our game, and don't get drawn into a shootout. Obviously we can't compete in that with Tampa. Dwayne Roloson gets the start for the Bolts.
Prediction: The Sens played a much improved game last night, but couldn't get the 2 points. Between the travel and back to back games, what are the odds we play another good one? Not very good in my opinion. Couple that with the fact that Tampa has been sitting here for a few days relaxing and you have a recipe for an ugly defeat. Sens lose 5-2.
