The Sens are winding down their season in sunny Florida, as they take on the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight at the St Pete Times Forum in boring downtown Tampa. There are no lineup changes other than Curtis McElhinney will start tonight, possibly because he was a Tampa player briefly, possibly because he played well there in his debut for the Sens, and most likely because we've been winning too much with Anderson in net.
Which brings us to the most important factor for tonight. We've been winning too much lately. In fact in Florida loses tonight and we were to win, we'd jump from 3rd worst in the league, to 5th worst, which would leave us without one of the big four draft picks come late June and would mean this horrible season was a bit of a waste. It's driving me insane we could possibly not have a top pick after this season we've endured. Don't blow it for us last minute Sens geez, they can't even lose properly.
Prediction: Sens screw me over and win tonight 4-2, thus making us 4th worst in the league and possibly 5th. Can't we just quietly go away and lose the rest of our games this year and get the best draft pick possible. Let's hope this is a reverse jinx and we get run over by Tampa and Stamkos/St Louis/Malone/Lecavalier have a big night and kill us and put us back in our place. That would be ideal, which means it won't happen.
