GDP #78: Sens @ Florida - Tank Battle

Outside of Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, FL
The Sens are in Florida tonight, to take on the Florida Panthers in their 2nd last road game of the year. But the big news is the fight for 3rd worst in the NHL, with no one really wanting to win probably at this late stage of the season. I can't really blame them. I'm going to the game live and honestly I'm hoping for an exciting loss. We don't need the points and this is a swing game for draft position. It's weird to root for a loss at a road game I'm attending but it's for the greater good.

No real lineup changes, as is the custom as of late with us playing decently for once. Craig Anderson starts against his former club. The Panthers counter with Scott Clemmensen due to Vokoun's injury.

Prediction: In an ideal worls we'd play well and lose a thriller 6-5. Too bad this is reality and the odds of FLA/OTT combining for 11 goals seems unlikely. Let's face it, Florida is better at tanking than us. They have more experience at it and no one in Florida cares if they win or lose, so Tallon will want another top pick. I'm sadly hoping for an L, but I see a win in our future 4-1.

Pre game thoughts?
