Da Costa To Be The Bosta

Sens new signing Stephane Da Costa in action
Who says that Ottawa isn't a desirable location for top players to play? For the 2nd straight year, the Sens have signed a top college star in Stephane Da Costa to a 2year entry level deal, after signing Bobby Butler last season. Da Costa is a right handed centre who is only 5'11 and 180lbs, but put up 45 points in 33 games this season in the NCAA for Merrimack. It's believed that at least 20 NHL teams made serious attempts to sign him, with Ottawa winning out. Take that MTL and Tdot.

Da Costa is 21 years old and a native of Paris, France. He is expected to be in the lineup on Saturday night for the battle of Ontario against the Leafs. Welcome to the show Stephane.

Thoughts on the signing?

Nothing to lose and lots to gain. Murray may be back as GM before you know it.

I'd like to point out that "bosta" is profanity for "poop" in Portuguese, a language I'm almost certain someone in the Da Costa family probably has some grasp on.
