GDP #79: Sens v Leafs

Two things that are annoying - Taylor Swift and the Maple Leafs
The big news for tonight's battle of Ontario is the debut of highly touted Stephane Da Costa (wearing #24) and the fact that if we win we basically eliminate the Leafs and if we lose we get better draft position. I'm going for the latter because it helps OUR team and the Leafs aren't going to make it anyways.

Because of the insertion into th elineup of Da Costa, Colin Greening had to be sent down to Bingo. With the injury to Karlsson, Andre Benoit also rejoins the big club and plays tonight. Craig Anderson starts in goal, while Leafs counter with Reimer.

The lines are a bit different tonight. Here are the projected lines:
  • Michalek-Spezza-Svatos
  • Condra-Da Costa-Shannon
  • Foligno-Smith-Neil
  • Butler-Winchester-Lessard

Prediction: I really hope the Leafs come out hard and blow us away, because with 4 games left in the season, the draft pick is waht's important and we need to be top 4. The Leafs also really need to win this game and it's always competitive when these 2 teams tangle. My heart says Leafs win, but my brain says Sens win 3-2.

Pre game thoughts?

Get rid of Kuba. He actually gave the puck away twice for the 4th goal.

I was impressed with Da Costa.
