Sens End Home Season On High Note

Ryan Shannon celebrates the game winner in OT by Filip Kuba
It may have been a tough season to endure, but the Sens sure provided some great entertainment to the home crowd tonight. They nearly blew it, giving up a goal with just 11 seconds left to Mike Cammaleiri, before unlikely hero Filip Kuba won it for the good guys in OT.
Bobby Butler has a very good game, dropping a goal and 2 assists for the 3 point night, not a bad way to end the season for the rook, who seems to have found a place in the lineup for next year. Jason Spezza continued his strong play with a goal and an assist, but more than just that, he played a powerful, 2 way game yet again. I've been really impressed with him over the past 15 games give or take. Perhaps he can be the played most of us want. Either way, it's been a pleasure to watch him lately.

Even though I was hoping for an L to improve our final draft position, I have to admit it was nice to see everyone play so well, and for such an entertaining conclusion to our season in Ottawa.

With a goal and two assists, Bobby Butler wins the night.

Post game thoughts?
