Sens Lose Finale In Beantown

Well that's it for the 2010-11 Senators season, ending the year with a 3-1 loss to the Bruins this afternoon in Boston. Their were some positives from this game, but as a whole, we looked overmatched for most of the match in my opinion. No shame losing to the B's however, as they're a pretty stacked team posied to make a long playoff run.

Bobby Butler had the lone Sens goal, scoring in front of friends and family, which is nice to see. Perhaps he will have a future with the Sens afterall. He definitely has a nice shot, but needs to work on his skating. Jason Spezza looked good all afternoon again, can't say enough about how well he's played the last quarter of the season. Very impressed with giggles.

There was also a really entertaining fight today by Zack Smith and Nathan Horton that I will be posting shortly.

So that's it for 2010-11, now we look forward to the offseason, which should be full of moves and excitement. It was a fun year in some ways, while exhausting in many others. On to 2011-12. Thanks for joining me all year guys, much appreciated.

With one goal Bobby Butler wins the afternoon.

Post game thoughts?
