GDP #8: Sens v Blue Jackets
The Sens are back at it tonight for a nice Saturday night affair against the worst team in the NHL at the moment, the Columbus Blue Jackets. CBus is the only remaining team left in the league to not register a victory yet this season, so the Sens have an excellent chance at taking this one and having their first win streak of the young season.
Peter Regin won't play tonight after picking up an injury vs Winnipeg, so Konopka takes his spot in the lineup. It hasn't been announced as of yet, but likely that Craig Anderson starts in goal for the Sens.
Here's a little video preview for tonight's game via Gord Wilson and the Sens.
Local Flavor: There's a ton tonight, the big one being former Sen Antoine Vermette is back at SBP,a s well as former Sen Cody Bass is finally sticking in the NHL. There's also 3 local guys on CBJ in Marc Methot, Derick Brassard and Grant Clitsome. So pay attention if you're into watching local guys.
Prediction: This is a game for draft position in the who gets to pick Nail Yakupov come June, so both may be trying to not win, just kidding. CBJ played and traveled last night so the advantage is ours. I hate to say it but if we can't beat the worst team in the league after they traveled and played back to back, then things aren't looking good. On the other hand, this is a chance for CBJ to get in the win column against another poor team, so they may be motivated to get it done. I say the Sens build on Thursdays win and take it 4-1.
Record this season: 4-3 with no exact scores predicted.
