Foligno Hit

This was the hit that got Nick Foligno a 5 minute major penalty and a game misconduct. To me it's a clean hit, not even a minor penalty. Do you agree?

I think not

Judging by the video there were NO strides coming into the hit, so it was definitely not charging. He only left his feet after the contact. So I don't know what to say. Could have hit his head, but when you lead with your head that kind of thing happens. The league is all @#$# up. Few players hit anymore and when they do its a big stink?!?!?!

Aight, homer moment but I think the Sens have gotten an absolute wash when it comes to reffing the last couple of seasons. I dont know what the deal is. It's been super frustrating. The game is crazy fast at ice level but there comes a point where its also like 'yeah, the game's fast but you're a professional NHL referee" A call like that? I could see from the 300s on the other side of the rink that Foligno's feet were on the ice until he was upended. Two minutes on a bad call? Fine, thats human. A major and a game? Absolute BS. We've seen Alfie and Winnie concussed on dirty plays that went unpenalized. Seems like the Sens have been winning despite a lot of times this year. Thank god theyve been winning btw. GO SENS! GO BLOGS! MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY XXXXXXXXXMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I don't even think it was a hit. It was an accidental collision. If you watch his head and stick it appears he is trying to strip the puck. Ellerby loses his balance and they collide. Oops gets you 5 and a game. Ridiculous.
