Carkner Gets One Game Suspension

Senators journeyman defenceman Matt Carkner was suspended one game today for his role in a fight during last night's series evening win. During the first period Carkner jumped Ranger Brian Boyle in retaliation of Boyle going after Erik Karlsson in game 1 and punched him several times in the face without Boyle fighting back. It resulted in the Sens having to kill a 5 minute major penalty, that they thankfully did successfully. A game seems right on this one. Luckily Carkner isn't a key component in our lineup. Explanation video after the jump.

Did Shanahan get it right?
