Devils Hand Sens Third Straight Loss Heading Into The Playoffs

For the third straight game, the Senators didn't put forth a good effort and got the loss. Not exactly the way you want to head into the playoffs is it? The Senators were up 1-0 and 2-1 before giving up 3 unanswered for the 4-2 loss to New Jersey on the final day of the regular season. Even more unsettling was the effort level, which was barely there for the 3rd straight game since clinching a playoff spot last Sunday.

It's foolish to think they can just flip a switch and bring their A game for the playoffs in a few days. They need to re-group and get their act together big time. The lone standout was Craig Anderson, who made some big saves and kept the score manageable. Matt Gilroy scored his first as a Sen on one of the worst goals you'll ever see and JOB (Jim O'Brien) potted the other. Now we wait to see if we play the Rangers or Bruins
