Hagelin Gets 3 Games For Alfie Headshot

New York Ranger Carl Hagelin has been suspended for 3 games for his vicious headshot elbow to the head of Sens captain Daniel Alfredsson. The Senators went on to win 3-2 in overtime to even the series at a game a piece. Hagelin will be eligible to return for game 6 back in Ottawa, but the real loss here is Alfredsson, who's the heart and soul of Ottawa, and a much bigger loss to the Sens than Hagelin is to the Rangers. In the end however, 3 games seems like a fair end result. It is not yet known if Alfie will play in game 3 or not.

Though apparently not everyone agrees with the ruling. Predictably Larry Brooks puffed his chest to argue the other side.

Here is the explanation of the suspension by Brendan Shanahan

So lets hear it Sens fans, did they get it right or did he get off too light?
