Sens Heading To Big Apple

All week it looked like the Senators were locked in to a first round matchup with the Boston Bruins, but 3 straight loses put a stop to that. With the Sens slide since clinching, coupled with the strong play of Florida and Washington, the Sens have fallen to the 8th seed and will now take on the New York Rangers in the opening round. It's a better matchup for the Sens, who play the Rangers well, winning 3 of 4 against the East's top team this season.

The NHL playoff schedule comes out at 1pm tomorrow.

Even though it was some really small percent, I always thought it was higher than that because 1) the Sens basically didn't care, 2) the Panthers needed to stay 3rd and ahead of the surging Caps and Sabres teams, and 3) the Caps were really trying to make the playoffs. Anyway, Boston will beat Washington so if by some small chance the Sens beat NY, we'll face Boston in the 2nd round.
