Your Media Playoff Preview Links
With just one day remaining until the playoffs start and 2 days until the Sens post season begins, all your favorite (or unfavorite) media outlets are putting out their playoff previews. To save you time and effort, I've compiled all the Sens/Rangers for you all in one spot. Just remember that if you don't like what they have to say that most of the same people predicted a Sens last place finish, so they usually don't know what they're talking about. Believe it! Links after the jump.
-First off is TSN who give you a series page here and a piece about the uphill battle Ottawa will face to beat New York here.
-Next up is a preview from The Ottawa Citizen's Allen Panzeri. It's fairly thorough but he picks the Rangers in 7, then again does he even watch hockey anymore? Must be a crazy pain in the ass to get to travel and watch hockey for a living.
-NHL.com is the next on our travels, who give you what it will take for the Senators to beat the Rangers and win the Stanley Cup. You will see that they corrected the mistake that they originally made here by claiming Spezza was the captain instead of Alfie of course and the graceful writer Dave Lozo handled it well on Twitter, blaming it on a typo in his tweet that he has since cowardly deleted.
-Here's a more detailed preview from NHL.com if you're interested.
-You can always count on The Hockey News for some Sens hating. It's almost like they have something personal against the Sens. They have the Rangers having the advantage in every single aspect of the series and them sweeping us. Oh ya and they had us 15th in the East in their season preview in October too.
-Katie Strang previews the Sens first round matchup for ESPN. She's giving the Sens a lot more credit and the piece is a lot more even sided. She's a good writer, follow her on twitter.
-Yahoo gives Ottawa a very realistic chance of upsetting the number 1 seeded Rangers in the opening round in their preview.
-Sportsnet.ca chimes in with their preview, which is a bit underwhelming and disappointing. Looks like it took them all of 5 minutes to do it, if that.
-The Sun lets everyone know that the Sens are a stunning 11-2 at Madison Square Garden since the lockout in this playoff preview piece. Very good stat to know heading into game's 1 and 2.
-Even NBC Sports got in on the fun by basically telling us stuff we already all knew. At least Milbury wasn't involved, so that's something.
And finally a visual preview in video form via NHL Tonight Extra. Sometimes it's just nice to listen and not read isn't it.
Thoughts on the previews? Do you agree or disagree?
