The There's Always Next Year Links

Its been nearly a month since the last time the Sens had a game and many of you are going though Senators withdrawal. It's an understandable condition for the die hards in Sens Amry. The good news is the draft and free agency is around the corner, and September will be here soon enough. The Sens have some holes to fill and the return of Daniel Alfredsson is still up in the air, so the offseason should be a fairly interesting one. It's been awhile since I've done one of these but I figured I'd do what I can to get you through the summer. Enjoy the latest edition of the links.

-For those of you who like cheesy, corny rap songs with forced lines and a fake gangster voice don't worry I've got you covered.

-Good news for all of you Binghamton Senators fans out there, as the Sens and B-Sens have extended their relationship.

-Sens prospect Darren Kramer is changing the peanut butter industry as we know it.

-I'm not quite sure how this type of nonsense is allowed to be published in a professional newspaper but here it is. Not only is it garbage and lazy writing, it was a little premature to write after 1 game.

-One of the lighter moments from our first round series that will live on in Senators lore.

-A photo gallery about Leafs fans being embarrassed about their team? Count me in.

-Kyle Turris had a pretty solid debut season for the Sens but has a lot more promise heading into next season in Ottawa. Here's a piece outlining his maturing. One thing is for sure, Turris' game 4 OT winner will go down as one of the more memorable goals in Sens history.

-Speaking of Turris, here's him getting love for that OT winner all the way from Taiwan.

-Anyone who makes fun of Sidney Crosby is OK with me, even if it is Philly.

-LOVE Craig Anderson shouting himself out for being on the cover of The Sun.

-BM the GM is priceless in this clip.

-Ian Mendes highlighted all the numbers in the Sens favor heading into game 7. Unfortunately it didn't work out. Again!

-MSG Network needs better proofreaders.

-Speaking of Alfie, the ORIGINAL countdown is featured here that was started by Sens fans. We already saw the Rangers and Caps fans bite our style this post season.

-Even though this story is pretty insane, it goes to show you that hockey is becoming more of a worldwide sport. So that's something.

-This was seen at a Sens playoff game. It amused me.

-This was the scene for Jakob Silfverberg's Brynas team after they won the Swedish championship.

-Being in enemy territory come playoff time can be difficult.

-Oh Philadelphia, so predictable. Yet funny.

-The franchise giving Sweden a boost at the world's.

-This has absolutely nothing to do with the Sens or even hockey for that matter. Just thought it was a must see commercial.

-Here is the Puck Daddy eulogy for the Sens season, written under the pretence of it being done by Bruce Garrioch and Don Brennan. In reality it was written by a couple of Leaf bloggers, which explains the anti Ottawa sentiment.

-Sens prospect Mark Stone won the WHL's most sportsmanlike player. Look for him to make a push for the big team next year if he improves his skating in the offseason.

-The Ottawa Sun gave out its final grades for all the Senators after the season came to a dramatic conclusion and I have to say for the most part I agree.

-Given how passionate we are about hockey in Canada, I can't say this is that surprising.

-I love when players fire back at fans.

-Speaking of that OT winner, Karl Azner, who was on the losing end of that game, had a bit of a dog situation when he got home.

-Someone decided to make some art featuring the Sens and Rangers in the first round.

-Not sure what this really means but one blog granted the Sens beauty of the month status. Not sure how official any of that is.

-Do the Sens risk losing Karlsson?

-If you want to donate some of your Sens ticket to a good cause go here.

-Sens love at Mount Everest.

-The Sens are all the way down the page ranked #156 in the world for average amount they pay their players.

-First there was the cab incident, now this. The one and only Patrick Kane ladies and gentlemen.

-Another season ending eulogy for the Sens. This time from a local source.

-Former Senator Norm MacIver got a big promotion with Chicago.

-Poor St Louis. This made me laugh.

-Not a Ron MacLean fan before this but I have no idea what he was trying to do here. It was just a weird, inappropriate rant. I can't believe how little trouble he got into.

-Jesse Winchester is spending his offseason in camo and fishing. Not stereotypical of a hockey player from a small town at all.

-It may be 5 years away but the Leafs have already copyrighted their 100th anniversary logo. Interesting to note it says Leafs Nation on it.

-Fredrik Claesson is the latest Swede hoping to make the jump to the Sens.

-Speaking of Sens prospects, Texan Stefan Noesen is also trying to make the team next year.

-Sens owner Eugene Melnyk now only owns one hockey team.

-David Beckham is a Kings fan, hockey fan and cracks on Montreal. He's more than ok in my books.

-This Torts mix is awesome and features some footage from Ottawa as well.

-This is how you do social media right sports teams. Take not.

-It seems like the Sens will be doing this in the near future doesn't it?

-Will Mark Stone be the next great Sens scorer?

-Speaking of Mark Stone and the Brandon Wheat Kings, their coach, former Sens head honcho Cory Clouston, will not be back. Rumor has it he's one of the frontrunners for the Flames job somehow.

-This was quite the save.

-While this item is VERY cool, 63k+ seems pretty expensive still.

-The Sens also re-upped Pat Cannone. He seems destined for the AHL however.

-Now that's alotta beer at MSG. Not mad at that though.

-This is cool but lame but cool.

-Touching tribute at the World Championship's by former Sen Zdeno Chara for former Sen Pavol Demitra.

-Speaking of former Sens, my moms fave ex player Antoine Vermette is fitting in well with the Yotes.

-Actor Cuba Gooding Jr couldn't contain his excitement after the Kings won a playoff game. You wll recall he also hit up Alfie's 1000th game celebration a few years back.

-Chris Neil is a Rangers fan? Well kind of now.

-Matthew Perry is a proud Sens fan, or at least he was. Since now he's apparently a Rangers and Kings fan. We all know Ottawa was your one true love Matt. Don't be a sellout.

-Famed Olympian Clara Hughes and her team dedicated their Gatineau race to Daron Richardson.

-And finally, former Olympiques player Claude Giroux can definitely play through the pain.
