Daugavins Avoids Arbitration, Signs One Year One Way Deal
Latvian forward Kaspars Daugavins and the Ottawa Senators avoided heading to salary arbitration by agreeing to a one year contract this morning. The deal, which is a 1 way pact, will pay the 4th liner 635k in 2012-13. With the signing, Stephane Da Costa remains the Sens only RFA unsigned in the organization. The Daugavins signing also leaves us with quite a few extra forwards for next year, so someone making NHL money is likely to be at least starting the year in Binghamton. The Daug had 11 points in 65 games last season, his first in the NHL.
Thoughts on the deal?
