Sens Sign Hugh Jessiman

Sens have added some size and skill to their Binghamton farm team today, inking Hugh Jessiman to a 1 year, 2 way deal. Jessiman was the 12th overall pick in the draft way back in 2003, but has managed to only play 2 career NHL games so far, which likely won't be changing any time soon. Jessiman's biggest asset is that he's, well big.

At 6'6 and 224lbs you can see why he was taken so high in the 03 draft and he didn't hesitate to use that big frame, having amassed 699 penalty minutes in 432 AHL games. He also has a decent scoring touch, putting up 27 goals and 17 assists last season in 67 games in the AHL, splitting time between Lake Erie and Abbotsford. This is a depth signing for Bingo and nothing more. Seems like it's a decent move for the price for the B-Sens.

Thoughts?

Strictly a depth move by the Sens org. Bingo bound and nothing more. Maybe a call-up if needed... see: Lessard. No reason for anyone to get all crazy about this one. The Rags really screwed up in 2003 with this pick, but he'll be good for us in Bingo.
