Ceci Named Co-Captain, Puempel Named Alternate

While the NHL is locked out, the rest of the hockey world are starting their respective seasons all around the world. The CHL is no exception and with the season about to get going, all of the teams are naming their respective captains and alternate captains.

2012 first rounder and Ottawa native Cody Ceci has been named co-captain of the Ottawa 67's along with Sean Monohan. Ceci will wear the C during home games the first half of the season and Monahan on away games, then half way through the season they will switch. The 67's open their season tomorrow night against Barrie at Scotiabank Place. To buy tickets click here.

In other news, 2011 first rounder Matt Puempel has been named an alternate captain for his new club, the Kitchener Rangers, who are celebrating their 50th anniversary season.

Congrats to the pair and have great seasons. Thanks for reading and follow me on twitter @SensTown
