Zack Attack Signs For 4 More Years

Well good news for all of you Bayside Tigers fans out there, as The Zack Attack will be dispaying is talents at The Max, err I mean SBP for the next four years after inking an extension that will pay the scarppy forward an average of 1,887,500 per season.

At first glance it may seem a smidge high for a guy who was rumored to be dealt all offseason, but he did put up 14 goals and 26 points while appearing in 81 of 82 games last year. Plus he brings a hard working mentality, has some upside and provides some toughness. With Carkner leaving via free agency this offseason, they needed to lock up Mr Smith.
Should we take this as a sign that he's a valuable part of our future going forward or does the new deal help him being moved still possibly? Only time will tell, but for now it's not bad to have a guy like him in the mix. Long live Kelly Kapowski.

Thoughts on the deal?
