Sens Fall To Carolina In Shutout Loss

The Senators managed 33 shots against Carolina tonight, but not one of them was able to beat Dan Ellis. It wasn't that Ellis played so well, the 1-0 loss was more of a result of a lack of quality chances by the Sens. The may have done well without Spezza the previous 2 games,, but tonight it was obvious why he's so important to the team. Craig Anderson was great again, allowing just one goal on 35 shots and once again shutting the door in the 2nd and 3rd periods, as he's done all season thus far. It was an overall poor performance by the team and the result was probably fair. It's hard to win when you can't score right? Let's hope it goes a little bit better on Sunday afternoon in Montreal.
