Corvo Returns To Ottawa

An offseason that has already been very odd for the Ottawa Senators, just got a bit odder, as former Sen Joe Corvo, signed with the Sens today in a one year, $900k deal. A player returning to a team isn't that unusual, but it is with Corvo, as he left the team after asking for a trade for months because he said he couldn't handle the media or all the attention from fans in such a hockey market.

So what's changed? Likely his circumstances, but nevertheless, at only a year and 900k, that's a pretty shrewd signing by Bryan Murray in my opinion. He brings most of what we lost from Gonchar but at a fraction of the price. I wonder if the fans will forgive, or if they'll continue to do this? Either way, Corvo and his amazing tattoos are now Senators once again. We'll always have game 2 of the 2007 Eastern Conference Finals at least.
